I’m a Belgian essayist, technologist, and flâneur, drifting between models, from glitches to system failure.
Raised on video games, the early internet, and electronic music, I grew up seeing technology as a promise of boundless possibility: in the digital, the intimate, the social, and the world at large.
My work explores error, digression, and what it means to remain human through technological glitches. At the centre of this inquiry are my books: evolving transmedia projects unfolding across text, moving images, and virtual worlds.
In Humans and Their Errors, I examine bugs and their metaphysical implications; in Digressive Society, I address the plurality of value systems across culture, economics, and politics.
My videos and installations, shown at the Wrong Biennale, the MAC Paris Salon, and the Toronto Urban Film Festival, stage the tension between fantasy and a messier off-screen reality: a superflat aesthetic disrupted by digital glitches.
My virtual worlds function as heterotopias in the Foucauldian sense: spaces for contemplative wandering that mirror and invert reality. They reflect on the gamification of life and the impossibility of winning it all.
In essays published in AI & Society, Philosophy Now, and The Disconnect, wandering becomes a collective question: how might societies make room for plurality, experimentation, and self-determination in an age shaped by human-machine systems?
Through various prototypes, I extend this inquiry into generative systems and experimental forms of collective governance.
